Training Centers
Located in 14 developing countries throughout the world, each WGO Training Center serves as a universal catalyst for trainees who are interested in enhancing their specialization in gastroenterology. Each Center offers comprehensive training, the overall goal being to improve the standards of training and patient care within and surrounding their regions. Outreach
Administered by the WGO Education and Training Committee, the Outreach Program is designed to facilitate the relationship between equipment manufacturers and/or institutions with Training Centers, public hospitals or clinics in low-resource areas in need of equipment or teaching materials. In collaboration with the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology (CSG), the Train the Trainers workshop was held recently in Xi’an, China from April 16-19, 2012. This TTT workshop saw 49 gastroenterologists from 18 countries participate in four days of interactive learning sessions on a variety of key topics and issues that are confronted by trainer’s everyday in their practice.
